We know it’s frustrating when a bus passes you. Here are the most common reasons:
Why it happens
- The bus is already full and can’t safely take more riders
- You were not at the stop or visible
- The driver didn’t recognize that you wanted to board (especially if you were sitting or not facing the bus)
- You were at the wrong stop for that route or direction
What to do
- Stand near the stop sign and wave or make eye contact as the bus approaches
- Double-check that your stop serves the route and direction you need
- If you’re passed by more than once, call 702-228-RIDE (7433) to report the issue
💡 Tip: Always arrive early and be visible to the driver. Waving politely helps signal that you want to board.
