Our annual Summer Heat campaign came to a close this past week, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us! Whether you stopped by the Bonneville Transit Center, South Strip Transit Terminal, Centennial Hills Transit Center, or one of our many RTC bus stops across the valley, we’re grateful you took the time to celebrate with us and learn how to stay cool and safe during Southern Nevada’s hottest months.
This summer, we had the opportunity to connect in person with more than 2,000 riders, offering refreshing water and helpful heat safety tips. The thoughtful conversations, meaningful interactions, enthusiasm, and engagement remind us why community outreach is so important.
We’re especially proud of our amazing RTC outreach team, dedicated staff, and generous volunteers who made the campaign such a success. Their energy, compassion, and commitment to serving the community were appreciated, alongside our CEO, MJ Maynard-Carey, who joined in the efforts to connect directly with riders. Whether handing out cold water or sharing advice on staying safe in extreme heat, every team member played a vital role.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the generous support of our Summer Heat partners. Their contributions of resources, giveaways, and valuable information ensured that our riders stayed safe, hydrated, and informed throughout the season. From bottled water to cooling essentials, our partners played a vital role in keeping Southern Nevada moving during the hottest months. We’re grateful for their collaboration and shared commitment to rider safety and community well-being.
